A deposit is a deposit, not a price. That is why we keep it out of the comparison: two cases of beer at the same price cost the same, whatever the deposit label says.
German Pfand
Cans and single-use bottles in Germany carry Pfand, which you get back at a German shop with a return machine. Reusable bottles have their own, lower deposit, and it usually assumes the crate goes back with the bottles.
German packaging in a Danish machine
Danish pant is only paid out for packaging with a Danish deposit mark. German cans therefore belong in the German machine — take the empties with you next time you drive down.
Deposit-free goods
Some goods are sold without a deposit. Where that is the case we mark it on the item, so the price can be compared directly with a variant that carries one.
